This Shipping Policy outlines how Sotheby’s handles the shipment and delivery of auctioned items.

2. Shipping Responsibility
    •    Buyers are responsible for all shipping and handling costs unless otherwise stated.
    •    Shipping fees are calculated based on:
    •    Item size and weight
    •    Destination
    •    Insurance requirements
    •    Carrier rates

3. Shipping Process
    1.    Auction closes and buyer completes payment.
    2.    Item is prepared for shipment.
    3.    Shipping fees are confirmed.
    4.    Item is dispatched using a trusted carrier.
    5.    Tracking information is provided.

4. Processing Time
    •    Standard processing: 3–10 business days after payment.
    •    Custom or large items may require additional time.

5. International Shipping
    •    Available for selected items.
    •    Buyers are responsible for:
    •    Customs duties
    •    Import taxes
    •    Local regulations

Sotheby’s is not responsible for delays caused by customs.

6. Insurance

All shipments are insured for their declared value unless the buyer declines insurance in writing.

7. Delivery Issues

If an item arrives:
    •    Damaged
    •    Lost
    •    Incorrect

The buyer must notify Sotheby’s within 48 hours of delivery.
